In 2017, the Susannah Lee Barlow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution partnered with the City of Milwaukie and the American Legion Post 180 of Milwaukie, to build a new Vietnam War monument memorializing the Clackamas County Fallen.
The monument was designed by local artist and veteran Bruce Polone. It is a black granite obelisk, upon which the names of the fallen have been engraved. Two matching black granite benches face the obelisk and provide opportunity for rest and reflection.
The monument was dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2017. A video of the dedication ceremony can be seen here: https://youtu.be/rAifjSmGRp8 or click at the bottom of this page.
The memorial is located 10660 SE 21st Avenue outside of the Milwaukie Ledding Library at 10660 SE 21st Avenue, Milwaukie, Oregon 97222.
