Larry Dikeman’s death was accidental, when a tree fell on him during clearing operations.

Pfc. Larry E. Dikeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale A. Dikeman, 4141 SE King Road, Milwaukie.
…Pfc. Dikeman, 20, was killed May 31 when a tree fell on him during clearing operations in the A Shau Valley.
Born in Portland, he was graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1967. He joined the Army in April, 1967 and was sent to Vietnam in February, 1969.
